Two persons have been killed as a bus run over them at Nayanpur Bazar under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur.
The deceased are Abdur Rashid, 54, and an unidentified woman, 45.
Witnesses said the driver of a Dhaka-bound BRTC bus from Netrokona lost control over the steering and ploughed through a crowed waiting for bus at the stoppage around 8:45am Friday, leaving two dead on the spot.
Maona police station OC Helalul Islam said vehicular movement on the road was halted for about 45 minutes after the accident.
