A school girl has committed suicide at Morkun area of Tongi in Gazipur city on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Laboni Akter, 16, daughter of Abul Kalam, of the area. She was a student of class ten of Morkun High School in Tongi.
Sub-inspector of Tongi police station Abdul malek Khosru said Laboni committed suicide with his scarf at the bed room on Sunday morning. She had an affair with a youth Rana of the area. Family members suspected that she committed suicide over the love affair.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Gazipur Shahid Taz Uddin Ahmed Medical college hospital morgue for autopsy.
