Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested a person with 150,000 pieces of yaba pills worth Tk6 crore in Chittagong.
The arrestee is Amir Hossain, maternal uncle of yaba trader Zafar, who was the prime accused in the case filed over the recovery of 500,000 yaba tablets.
Zafar died in a “gunfight” with RAB in July.
RAB 7 Media Wing In-Charge Sohel Mahmud confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Following Amir's informatioon, police, in a drive, recovered more 150,000 pieces of yaba pills.
He said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press conference later in the day.
