Update : 05 Sep 2015, 07:26 PM

Well Food, a leading baked goods company in Bangladesh, plans to increase the number of outlets in the capital to 20 in next six months cashing on its a wide variety of high-quality products.

Launched in 2005 in Chittagong, the company also plans to become a global brand as it has already started exporting to the countries like USA, UAE, Italy, UK, Australia and Oman.

“We want to make this a global brand maintaining quality and best taste. We’re close to our mission,” said Syed Nurul Islam, chief executive officer of Well Group, at a press conference at Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka yesterday.

“We are already in the UK, Australia in a limited scale and plans to enter Dubai and Bangkok markets soon,” he added.

Although the Well Food ventured into Dhaka market in 2013, it formally announced their presence in the capital at the yesterday’s press conference.

“We want to reach Tk100 crore sales volume and hope we’ll reach it in next two years,” CEO said.

Islam said in next five years the company would have 50 outlets across the capital increasing from 12 now. In Chittagong it presently has 22 outlets.

“Despite Dhaka is a competitive market and space rent is so high, we will deviate from our commitment to ensure quality and standards and at the same time keeping our customers’ affordability in mind,” Islam said.

He urged the consumers to come up with their observation on the quality and taste of their products saying it would help them improve services further.

“We’ve today bigger responsibility. Food is a very sensitive issue. So, we invest more time on the food wing.”
