Criminal killed in Chittagong 'gunfight'
A criminal has been killed in a "gunfight" with police at Shamserpara under Chandgaon police station in Chittagong. Deceased Arman Hazari, 28, was accused in more than 30 cases.
Minister Mohsin flown to Singapore for treatment
Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali, who is suffering from pneumonia, has been flown to Singapore for better treatment. Masud Ahmed, personal secretary of the minister, told the Dhaka Tribune: “An air ambulance carrying the minister left for Singapore around 12:30pm Saturday.”

Four workers burnt in cylinder blast
Four workers have sustained burn injuries in a cylinder blast at a ship breaking yard at Shitalpur area of Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong. Sitakunda police station Sub-inspector Saifullah said the explosion took place at Shital Enterprise around 7:30am Saturday.
Migrants arrive in Austria from Hungary after border move

16kg gold recovered at Dhaka airport
Customs Intelligence officials have recovered 12 gold bars and gold made chains weighing around 16 kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Customs Intelligence Assistant Director Umme Nahida Akhter said the gold bars and chains were recovered from a toilet of the airport around 11pm Friday.
PM to visit Khulna Sunday
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Khulna Sunday on a day-long visit on the occasion of commissioning and induction of new ships in Bangladesh Navy (BN). It will be her first visit to Khulna after the Awami League government took office for the second consecutive term with an overwhelming victory in the last general elections held on January 5, 2014. Sheikh Hasina last visited Khulna on January 24 in 2013.

Bollywood singer-composer Aadesh Shrivastava has died of cancer at a Mumbai hospital early Saturday. He was 51. Shrivastava had been undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital for over 40 days, NDTV reported.
