A war crimes accused, who received severe wounds in a road accident on August 12, has succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Amjad Hossain, 88, died around 5pm Friday while undergoing treatment, said DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mojammel Haque.

Amjad received severe injuries when a Dhaka-bound police van carrying two war crimes accused collided head-on with a bus on Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway.
In the incident, another suspected war criminal Riaz Fakir, 65, and four policemen were hurt.
Both the accused in the war crimes case were picked up from Mymensingh's Phulbaria area on August 11.
