Bangladesh Railways will start selling train tickets in advance from September 15 in order to ease the journey of home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Railways Minister Md. Mazibul Hoque made the announcement in a press briefing at the ministry on Thursday afternoon.
The minister said: “Advance tickets for the eid will be sold from September 15 to 19 and the return tickets will be sold from September 23 to 27.”
He said the tickets for September 20 can be purchased on September 15 while the return ticket for September 27 will be made available for purchase on the 23rd of the month.
“A person can purchase up to four tickets but the tickets will not be refunded,” Mujibul said.
