Customs Intelligence officials have detained a citizen of Peru with 2.3kg gross cocaine at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The detainee is Jaime Bardales Gomez.
Customs Department Assistant Commissioner Reyadul Islam said: “The cocaine was concealed at the bottom of Jaime's trolley bag. He was detained after we found the cocaine from the bag around 8:30am Tuesday.”
He said Jaime was supposed to go to India.
