Six construction workers have been killed and seven others injured as a truck turned turtle at Nondonpur under sadar upazila in Comilla.
Of the deceased, one is identified as Shafiqul Islam, 37, son of Bhula Sheikh, of Gaibandha.
Comilla Mainamati highway police out-post OC Abdul Awal said: “A tin-laden Dhaka-bound truck turned turtle when its driver lost control over the steering on Monday morning. Six of them died on the spot.”
He said bodies and the truck have been kept at the police station.
Four of the injured were admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital while three to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
