The government has appointed Ashud Ahmed as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Qatar.
Ashud Ahmed, a career diplomat, is currently working as Director General (South East Asia) in the ministry of foreign affairs, said a press release on Sunday.
Earlier, he served at Bangladesh Consulate General in New York, Bangladesh High Commission in Colombo, Bangladesh Embassy in Brussels and also at Bangladesh Consulate General, Hong Kong in different capacities.
Ashud Ahmed, who belongs to the 13th batch of BCS (FA) cadre, obtained BSS (Hons) and MSS in International Relations from the University of Dhaka.
He is married and blessed with two children.
