A 30-year old man has been killed by lightning at Haripur in Thakurgaon on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased is identified as Reazul, son of late Khalilur Rahman, of village Kandhal of the same upazila.
Union chairman Maminul Islam Adison confirmed the incident.
Chairman Maminul Islam Adison said at 4pm Reazul went to the field adjacent to his house to cut grass for cattle.
He was seriously injured as lightning hit him. He was first taken to Haripur hospital for treatment.
Duty doctor at the hospital referred him to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for his critical condition.
He died when he was taken in an ambulence.
Haripur OC Aktaruzzman also confirmed the incident.
