Jatiya Party (Z) chairman and former prime minister Kazi Zafar Ahmed was laid to eternal rest beside his parents graves at Cheora village in Chauddagram upazila yesterday.
Earlier, four namaz-e-janazas were held. Kazi Zafar was also given state honour by the Chauddagram upazila administration at Cheora Begum Faizunnesa High School ground as he was a freedom fighter.
Later, he was buried beside the graves of his parents at Cheora village around 6:55pm.
Kazi Zafar, also a former presidium member of the Ershad-led Jatiya Party, passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 76.
