Domestic workers Welfare and Social Security Act 2010 will be enacted soon ensuring the right and welfare of domestic workers.
This was revealed at a seminar 'Right and Social Security of Domestic Workers: National and International Perspective" at the national Press Club today.
Bangladesh Garhostho Nari Sramik Union and Women Health and Shakhi Consortium jointly organised the seminar.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon was the chief guest and Labor and Employment Secretary Mikail Shipar was special guest.
Domestic workers play important role in country's economy, so it is their right to have social dignity, said the minister.
