Jatiya Party (Z) chairman and former prime minister Kazi Zafar Ahmed will be buried today at his village in Chauddagram upazila, Comilla.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Biswa Ijtema ground in Tongi yesterday morning around 8:15am, as per his wish, attended by leaders of different political parties and many labour leaders.
His second namaz-e-janaza was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban while political leaders of various parties, except the Awami League and the Ershad-led Jatiya Party, participated in the prayers.
Zafar passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 76.
