State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said China will assist Bangladesh with establishing a digital forensic laboratory.
Palak, who is now visiting China, made the announcement after a meeting with Chinese ICT Industry Minister Wang Xudong at his office on Thursday, said a press release made public yesterday.
The press release stated that they discussed in the meeting the overall progress of projects that are being run with soft loan support from China.
Responding to the state minister’s request to China of assisting Bangladesh in preparing a “digital security act,” as well as establishing a digital forensic lab in the country, the Chinese ICT industry minister assured him that his country would provide strong support in implementing “Digital Bangladesh.”
Earlier, the state minister met Exim Bank China’s Vice-President Liu Liange and visited the offices of other Chinese organisations involved in various development projects in Bangladesh.
