The headquarters of two international organisations will be set up in Bangladesh.
The organisations are: South Asian Regional Standard Organisation (Sarso) and Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (Bimstec).
The regular cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the agreement signed between the organisations and Bangladesh government.
The decision of setting up SARSO headquarters was taken during the Saarc summit in 2008 and the agreement was signed on August 25 in 2011.
The cabinet also approved the rectification of the Motor Vehicle Agreement signed among Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal.
