A baby boy has been killed and two others have been injured in a landslide in New Gulshan area under sadar upazila in Bandarban.
The deceased is Sajid Hossain, 2.
Sajid's mother Nilu Marma, 40, and grandmother Shuime Marma, 65, were injured in the landslide triggered by the rain on Thursday morning.
Police, army officials and fire rangers conducted a rescue operation and sent the injured to Bandarban Sadar Hospital.
Meanwhile, another landslide took place in New Gulshan area but no causality was reported in the incident.
Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Hoque Chowdhury urged everyone living in the risky houses to move to the shelter centres.
The DC gave Tk25,000 to the deceased family and Tk10,000 to the injured.
Bandarban Municipal Mayor Jabed Reza said the schools are being used as shelter centres for the flood victims.
