The admission test for medical and dental colleges for the academic session 2015-2016 will be held on September 18.
Ministry of Health took the decision in a meeting on Sunday afternoon, reports BSS.
Details schedule of the admission test will be published soon, said an official of the ministry.
The 100-mark examination will be held on MCQ system like the previous years.
CGPA of HSC and SSC exams will be taken into count for the final results of both MBBS and BDS.
The minimum marks required to pass the MCQ test is 40.
There are 29 public medical colleges having 3,162 seats for MBBS course while 64 private medical colleges have 5,325 seats in total. Besides, nine public dental colleges having 532 seats for BDS course and 24 private dental colleges have 1,280 seats.
A combined GPA 8 in SSC and HSC examinations is the prerequisite for anyone to take the medical and dental admission test.
