A farm manager has been killed and two others have been injured in a road accident at Masterbari area of Gazipur city.
The deceased was identified as Amzad Ali Sarker, 50, son of Mazaher Ali of Purbogupalpur village under Polashbari upazila in Gaibandha district.
He was a manager of Shorna Rekha poultry farm at Pirozali area of Gazipur sadar and retired sergeant of Bangladesh Army.
Duty officer of Tongi Model police station SI Achinta Debnath said a Hotapara-bound Leguna (Human hauler) from Joydebpur Chowrasta hit Amzad Ali who was going with a bicycle at Masterbari area on Dhaka–Mymensingh highway under Gazipur city on Sunday morning, leaving Amzad and two others injured.
Locals rescued Amzad with critical condition and sent him to Tongi government hospital.
Later, he died on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
