Four people have been killed and three others injured as a pick-up van overturned on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Vitikandi of Vaberchar under Gazaria upazila of Munshiganj.
Gazaria poilice station Officer-in-Charge Md Hedayetul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
Identities of the deceased could not be known yet. Bodies were kept in the police outpost, the OC added.
The wounded were admitted to different hospitals in the district, he said.
The incident took place as the driver lost control over its steering. Four died on the spot and three others got injured.
Police, meanwhile, seized the pick-up van.
