Marking the fourth death anniversary of Tareque Masud and Mishuk Munier, Federation of Film Societies of Bangladesh (FFSB), in collaboration with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), will hold film screenings and a commemorative meeting at the National Music and Dance Auditorium of BSA on August 13.
Runway, Noroshundor and Adam Surat, three directorial ventures of Tareque Masud, with Mishuk Munier as his cinematographer, will be screening from 4:30pm.
Later, film-maker Morshedul Islam, Lainun Nahar Swemi, the president of FFSB, and film critique Sajedul Awal, among others, will take part in a commemorative meeting with Liaqut Ali Lucky presiding it. Belayat Hossain Mamun, the general secretary of FFSB, is scheduled to say a few words, marking the beginning of the meeting.
Internationally acclaimed film-maker, Masud and media broadcast journalist, Munier, died in a road accident on August 13, 2011 at Ghior of Manikganj with three others, including camera assistant Wasif and the driver. The team was returning from a location scouting trip for Masud’s next film Kagojer Phool.
