At least 20 students have been injured after a portion of the floor of a primary school's classroom subsided at Laksham in Comilla.
The injured students of Aswatola Government Primary School were admitted to Laksham upazila health complex.
Acting headmaster of the school Panna Rani Barua said the classroom's floor, which was built over a water body, subsided when a class was going on.
"Some students fell into the water body after the subsidence. Later, other students and locals rescued them," he added.
Being informed, UNO Shafiul Alam, Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Mohabbat Ali, upazila education officer Delwar Hossain and Laksham police station OC Nasir Uddin visited the spot.
