4 children injured in crude bomb blast

Four children have been injured when three crude bombs exploded at Noyapara under Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore.

The injured are Anik, 10, son of Aslam Hossain of Sadarpara area, Munna, 11, son of Humayun Kabir of the same area, Ashish, 6, son of Azim Uddin and Fatema, 8, daughter of Firoz alias Harun.

Abhaynagar OC Sheikh Nasiruddin said: “The children went to pick some palm near a pond around 8am Sunday. Three crude bombs exploded as soon as the children touched them, leaving them critically injured.”

He said The injured were taken to Noyapara Health Complex and later shifted to Khulna 250-bed Hospital in a critical condition.

“Anik's one of the wrists was blown off in explosion,” he added.
