National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairman Dr Mizanur Rahman has suggested for launching a case against the police officials who were suspended on charge of showing negligence in dealing the sensational Rajon murder incident.
Expressing resentment at the action, the NHRC chairman opined that only suspension is not enough to deal such kind of heinous incident.
Dr Mizan made the statement during a condolence visit to the house of Sheikh Samiul Islam Rajon at Badeali village in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning.

During the visit, he expressed condolence over the brutal death to the parents of 13-year-old boy Rajon.
Expressing concern at the increase of child abuse across the country, Dr Mizan said: “Such kind of offences are completely a violation of human rights. We will have to find out the reason whether the incidents occur because of negligence of police or any other force of the government.”

About police involvement in various crimes recently, he said facilities for policemen should be increased in line with ensuring punishment while they have been passing their days miserably in the police barracks. Only police without any influence can ensure the rule of law in the country.
“Any civilised country cannot tolerate such type of killing and we are monitoring the Rajon murder case," Dr Mizan went on.

Later, the NHRC boss urged upon the government to bring back Rajon murder case's accused Kamrul Islam from Saudi Arabia for the sake of the quick trial.
On July 8, Kamrul, Muhith and some others brutally beaten to death Rajon after tying his hands and legs to a pole. One of them also filmed the heinous incident and uploaded it to Facebook.

Later, the video went viral on different social media platforms creating huge criticism among people from all walks of life.
On the face of sheer criticism, the authorities closed an inspector and suspended two sub-inspectors of Jalalabad police station in Sylhet as their negligence in arresting Rajon's killers appeared in a probe report in this regard.
