President Abdul Hamid will pay a state visit to Vietnam from August 9 to 12 at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang.
During the visit, the president is expected to hold discussions with his counterpart covering the entire gamut of Bangladesh-Vietnam relations, reports BSS.
Among the bilateral issues, exchange of visits, connectivity, trade and investment, cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture etc will be given special emphasis.
He is expected to exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern.
The Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Secretary General of Communist Party, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City of Viet Nam and a business delegation of Vietnam are also expected to meet the President of Bangladesh during the visit.
