Accomplished dancer, choreographer and actress Mamata Shankar is organising a choreography workshop at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy from August 4. The three day event wil proceed till August 8, and is aimed at senior dancers with previous experience in choreography. The participation fee is Tk2,000 per person with limited seating.
Mamata has organised and choreographed numerous dance-dramas and short performances for the past 29 years, ranging mostly on contemprariy themes such as Tagore’s Chandalika, Horikhela, Aajker Ekalabya, Milap and many more. She is even positively recognised by dance critics worldwide also received several awards, recognition and noteworthy reviews.
