A person has been killed as the wall of a mud house collapsed on him due to the torrential rain at Deuga in Savar municipal area.
The deceased is Toiyob Ali Dewan Naner, 60, of Faridpur.
Locals said Toiyob came to visit his daughter Salma Akhter in Savar few days ago.
Savar Model Police Station Senior Assistant Police Super Rasel Sheikh said: “The wall of the house collapsed due to the rain early Saturday, killing Toiyob on the spot.”
He said police went to the spot and recover the body.
