Golam Fakhruddin, additional secretary of the Information & Communication Technology Ministry, has been appointed managing director of Bangladesh Telecommunication Company limited (BTCL).
Fakhruddin was working as controller of electronic certificate giving authority under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department.
Public administration ministry yesterday released an official order in this regard.
Talking to the Dhaka Tribune, Mir Mohammad Morshed Ahmed, director (public relations), yesterday said, “BTCL authority got the Public Administration Ministry’s order at around 5pm today regarding the appointment of a new managing director.”
Former managing director of BTCL Mahfuz Uddin Ahmed went LPR on July 11.
After his retirement Shawkat Mostafa, additional secretary of Post & Telecommunication Ministry, was made managing director of BTCL as additional charge.
