SC cancels Zafrullah's fine upon apology
The Supreme Court has cancelled the verdict against public health activist and freedom fighter Zafrullah Chowdhury that fined him for contempt. A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order accepting Zafrullah's unconditional apology.

Schoolgirl killed allegedly after rape
A seventh-grade girl has been killed allegedly after rape at Saradi village under Muksudpur upazilain Gopalganj. Victim Rikta Khanam, 14, was a student of Digangarh High School. Rikta's uncle Kaiyum Sheikh said she left her maternal grandfather's residence for home on Monday morning but did not reach home.
Apple 'fake factory' raided in China
A factory which allegedly made up to 41,000 fake Apple iPhones has been raided in China, with nine arrests. The operation reportedly involved "hundreds" of workers repackaging second hand smartphone parts as new iPhones for export, with counterfeit phones produced worth 120m yuan ($19m).
