The National Board of Revenue has rearranged administrative duties of its 16 officials, including promoting two additional commissioners at income tax wing as commissioner.
The changes and promotions have been made in order to bring dynamism in the country’s tax administration. Separate official orders were issued in this regard on Sunday.
According to the new postings, Khulna Zonal Commissioner Radheshyam Roy and BCS Tax Academy, Dhaka Director General Ranjan Kumer Bhowmik have been made members of Tax Appellate Tribunal, Dhaka.
Tax Appellate Tribunal, Dhaka members Sazzad Hossain Bhuiyan was transferred as tax commissioner of Tax Appeal Zone-3, Dhaka, M Harun-ur-Rashid as commissioner at Mymensingh zonal tax office and Khandker M Ferdous Alam as director general of BCS Tax Academy, Dhaka.
Barisal Tax Commissioner M Abdul Baten has been made member at Tax Appellate Tribunal, Dhaka.
Rajshahi Zonal Income Tax Commissioner Sunil Kumer Saha was transferred to Khulna Tax Zone, Chittagong Tax Zone 1 Commissioner M Dabir Uddin to Rajshahi, Chittagong Tax Zone 2 Commissioner Apurbo Kanti Das to Chittagong Tax Zone 1, Chittagong Tax Zone 4 Commissioner Pradyut Kumer Sarker to Chittagong Tax Zone 2, Mymensingh Zonal Tax Commissioner Begum Humayra Saida to Tax Appeal Zone-4, Dhaka and Comilla Zonal Tax Commissioner M Motaher Hossain to Tax Zone 4, Chittagong.
The NBR has also promoted two additional commissioners as commissioner. Inspecting Range 1 Additional Commissioner under Dhaka Tax Zone 1 Mohammad Zahid Hasan was promoted as commissioner at Barisal Tax Zone and Inspecting Range 1 Additional Tax Commissioner under Dhaka Tax Zone 2 M Rezaul Karim Chowdhury as commissioner at Comilla Tax Zone.
The revenue board is assigned to mobilise Tk176,370 crore for the current 2015-16 fiscal year. Of the figure, an amount of Tk65,932 crore will be collected from income tax.
