Philips Electronics Bangladesh has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a range of new products, focusing on personal health.
The portfolio includes kitchen appliances, grooming, coffee, baby care products and air purifiers.
Aiming to tap customers in every corner of the country, the company tied up with Butterfly—a leading local electronic goods marketing company of some world’s top brands.
Philips Bangladesh has primarily focused on its healthcare business which offers health solutions focusing on diagnosis, treatment, recovery and homecare for patients.
Its healthcare portfolio includes diagnostic imaging products like CT, MRI, X-rays, cardiovascular systems, nuclear medicine, PET-CT, and ultrasound imaging systems; obstructive sleep apnea management and home respiratory care products; as well as cardiology and patient monitoring solutions.
“With the introduction of new products focused on consumer health, we will now make sure that people are able to lead a good life, by monitoring and managing their health, be it the air they breathe, the food they eat or their personal hygiene,” says Sanjay Bapna, CEO, Philips Electronics Bangladesh Limited while launching new products in a city hotel yesterday.
The company has already established a strong retail footprint for its products focused on personal health and is offering these across more than 1,000 touch-points, including traditional and modern retail, in all major cities.
“Over the next few years, the company plans to increase this footprint to over 10,000 touch-points across top 20 cities,” said Sanjay.
Philips Electronics Bangladesh Pvt Limited, a subsidiary of The Netherlands-based Royal Philips, announced the expansion of its business in Bangladesh through the introduction of new products focused on personal health.
The company’s CEO said since its establishment in 2011, Philips has grown its business significantly in Bangladesh based on healthcare product customers that have tripled over the past three years.
Today PEBL enjoys a leadership position in the healthcare industry, with all leading healthcare institutions like Apollo, Greenlife, Popular Group, CMH Dhaka, Kurmitola Hospitals, Dhaka Medical College and many more as its customers, he said.
