The ICT Division is going to unveil 500 mobile applications as a continual attempt to facilitate public services to the stakholders.
The inauguration programme will be held at the auditorium of Bangladesh Computer Council today in the capital.
Sajeeb Wajed Joy, ICT advisor to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, is expected to inaugurate the apps unveiling programme as the chief guest while Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT, will attend the ceremony as special guest.
The government has taken up the project to develop new mobile applications to ensure people’s access to information and services.
An ICT official said of the total mobile applications, 300 will be developed for different ministries and the remaining 200 will incorporate new innovative ideas.
Ethics Advanced Technology Limited (EATL) will develop the apps.
Under the mobile apps trainer and development of creative apps programme, the university students across the country will be trained for three months on developing mobile applications.
