At least seven people have been crushed to death when a demo train hit an easy bike at Dirasram level crossing under Gazipur Sadar upazila.
Tongi Railway Police outpost in-charge SI Alauddin confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police said the accident took place in the area around 2:45pm on Thursday when a Mymensingh-bound demo train from Dhaka hit an easy bike while passing the level crossing.
Police are on way to spot to recover the bodies, he said.
