The Bangladesh Under-19 cricketers relied on an all-round display to trounce a hapless the Under-19 world champions South Africa team by 22 runs.
The home side ended at 244 while chasing a target of 266 at Durban to give Bangladesh a 5-2 lead in the seven-match Under-19 ODI series on Sunday, four days after the Bangladesh National Team won a lanslide victory in a three-match ODI series against the South Africa National Team.
Earlier in the day, the junior Tigers won the toss and opted to bat first. They made 266 runs losing six wickets. While chasing the young Tigers, The world champions young Proteas scored 244 runs losing all wickets in 49.2 overs.
Bangladesh's Joyraz Sheik got the title of Player of the Match by making 90 runs in 106 balls while Pinak Ghosh won the Player of the Series title by posting 280 runs in the seven-match series.
Bangladesh Under-19 skipper Mehedy Hasan took highest wickets in series by dismissing 14 batsmem.
Earlier in April, Bangladesh hosted the Proteas youths for a seven-match series where the home side thumped the visitors 6-1.
