Family members and fans marked the third death anniversary of popular writer Humayun Ahmed placing floral wreath on his grave yard in Nuhashpalli, in Gazipur on Saturday.
Humayun's wife Meher Afroz Shaon along with her two sons Nishad and Ninith arrived at Nuhashpalli at 11 am.
They placed floral wreath on the grave of the writer, later Shaon along with his fans participated in a prayer in his peace. Her sister Shejuti and actress Chayanika Chowdhury, among others, were present at that time.
Meanwhile, Himu Paribahan, an organizations of Humayun's fan, men wearing yellow punjabi and women blue Sari, also placed a wreath in respect of their beloved writer.
As part of the program, they also distributed leaflets aimed to boost awareness about cancer.
The fans also collected signatures of the people who came to pay tribute to Nuhashpalli.
Aslam, the organization's member, said the fans organized tree plantation and established library cell around the country to mark the occasion.
