Railway Minister Md Mujibul Huq has been admitted to a hospital in Singapore with illness. He has been undergoing medical treatment there.
Senior information officer of the Railway Ministry told BSS that the minister left Bangladesh on a flight to Singapore at 5:15am Saturday, the eid day.
"He (Railway Minister) has been undergoing medical treatment after his admission in the hospital there. Besides, his medical examinations and other tests have been going on in the hospital in Singapore," he added.
The minister was admitted to Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) with pain in his abdomen on Thursday night.
