A five-year-old girl has died after coming in contact with a live electric wire at a children's park at Sayedabad in Dhaka.
The deceased is Anika Akhter, 5, the youngest daughter of a rickshaw-puller Azhar Ali, hailed from Gaghra, Jhenaigati in Sherpur district, reports BSS.
The accident took place on Saturday afternoon when she went to the park along with her elder sister Urmi.
Police and locals said the girl came in contact with the live electric wire after falling from the electric toy train at Wonderland Park adjacent to Sayebad Bus Terminal around 5pm.
She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared her dead.
