Two people have been killed on Saturday evening in a road accident in Naragati police station area of the district.
The accident occurred when an easy-bike fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering at Mulkhana under Kalabari Union, officer-in-charge of Naragati police station MA Jalil told BSS.
One Shahida Begum, 42, and Anika, 6, were killed in the accident when they were going to Kalia Sadar from Kalabaria area, he also said.
Locals rescued and rushed them to Kalia Health Complex where the on-duty doctors pronounced them dead.
