At least three people have been killed and 25 others injured after a passenger bus plunged intoa roadside ditch in the district's Kamarkhand Upazila.
Of the deceased, one has been identified as Nirob, 5, son of Md Jewel, of Gaibandha.
OC Helaluddin of Bangabandhu Bridge ( Paschimparh) police outpost, said: “The Gaibandha-bound bus from Dhaka veered off the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway and plunged into a ditch around 5pm Friday after the driver lost his control over the steering.
“The bodies of the three deceased have been sent to the Sadar Hospital while the injured are being undergoing treatment there.”
