The holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslims, will be observed across the country on Saturday, if the Shawal moon is sighted on Friday.
The National Moon Sighting Committee will hold a meeting Friday evening to decide on the appearance of the Shawal moon after reviewing reports from different parts of the country.

Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and private television channels will air special programmes and newspapers publish supplements on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Improved diets will be served in hospitals, jails and orphanages.
The day will be observed in Bangladesh missions abroad too in a befitting manner.
The main Eid congregation in the capital will be held at the National Eidgah, adjacent to the premises of the Supreme Court, at 8:30am.
Five Eid jamaats will be held at the Baitul Muqarram National Mosque - at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 10:45am.
Law enforcement agencies, including Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police, will ensure security in and around the main Eid congregation.
Dhaka North and South City Corporations will arrange 379 more Eid congregations between 7am and 11am in the city.
Two Eid congregations will be held at Dhaka University Central Mosque and one at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 8am.
