‘Post-Liberation War generation will take the country forward’

Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Central Command Council Chairman Helal Morshed Khan has said the post -Liberation War generation would take the country forward.

He said: “Our effort to liberate the country has succeeded as the young generation, especially the offspring of freedom fighters, upholds our spirit of the Liberation War.

He came up with the observation while addressing a discussion and iftar party at a capital hotel on Monday.

Specialised online news outlet, bahumatrik.com, organised the event in honour of freedom fighters.

Noting that the new generation will build a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Bangabandhu, he said: “I am happy that the post-Liberation War generation has moved forward and heavily involved in community service and social projects.”

Mukit Majumdar Babu, chairman of Prokriti O Jibon Foundation, was present as the special guest.

He said: “We fought against the Pakistani Army during the nine month war in 1971. But, our latest challenge is to protect the nature and the environment.

“In order to overcome the situation, we should go forward by using both our force and love.”
