Nine People have been killed and 20 others injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Manikganj districts.
In Sirajganj: Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Boalia area under Ullapara upazila.
The deceased were identified as Amzad Hossain, 46, Jahangir Master, 25, Ashraful Islam, 26, Mahmudul Hasan, 40, Bokul Hossain, 22.
Ullapara OC AZM Tajul Huda said: “Five people died on the spot in the accident that took place around 8:30am Tuesday."
The injured were admitted to Ullahpara hospital.
In Manikganj: Four people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Bisic Industrial Zone area of the district.
Manikganj Sadar OC Mominur Rahman said: “A bus of Paturia-bound Shad Porribohon collided head-on with a truck on Dhaka-Aricha highway around 1am Tuesday, killing three on the spot.”
He said: “One of the injured died when taken to Manikganj Sadar Hospital.”
