The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has decided to keep its customs houses open on Friday to facilitate export-import activities, particularly the country’s ready-made garment sector.
The board came up with the decision in response to a request made by Bangladesh Garment Manufacturer and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
The customhouses are-Dhaka Custom House, Chittagong Custom House, Benapole Custom House, and Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Kamapalpur in Dhaka.
The NBR usually keeps all its customhouses open on the day before Eid every year to meet the request of BGMEA.
