Korvi among 2015 Asia 21 Young Leaders

Korvi Rakshand, the founder of JAAGO Foundation, has been selected as a 2015 Asia 21 Young Leader.

Asia Society announced the Asia 21 Young Leaders Class of 2015, the newest members of the region's pre-eminent network of young leaders from across the Asia Pacific, on July 8.

Korvi, who was selected along with 32 leaders from 22 countries as the class of 2015, will join the Asia 21 Summit in Hong Kong in December.

Acknowledged for their commendable work in development, Bangladeshi nationals Zafar Sobhan, Sara Hossain, Kamal Quadir, Tamara Hasan Abed, Ejaj Ahmed, Nazim Farhan Chowdhury, Shabanaz Rashid Diya and few more respectable Bangladeshis are members of the prestigious Asia 21 alumni.

The summit will celebrate the achievements of the first decade, explore innovative ways to leverage the Asia 21 network for greater impact, and form special Asia 21 Task Forces to address critical issues facing the region.

Asia Society is a leading US organisation that promotes mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders and institutions of Asia and the United States in a global context.

The JAAGO Foundation caters to the education need of 1800 underprivileged children across Bangladesh through 13 free of cost schools. The organization is the pioneer in online schooling and also operates the largest youth platform in Bangladesh with over 17,000 registered volunteers.
