A girl has been gang-raped at Umedpur village of Akhaura in Brahmanbaria.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained an auto-rickshaw driver, Robin, in this connection.
The rape victim filed a case with Akhaura police station against seven persons.
According to the case statement, auto-rickshaw driver Robin took the girl to bordering Umedpur village while she was travelling to her brother's in-laws' residence on Wednesday evening.
Four persons raped the girl at a jungle at the village. Hearing the girl's scream, on-duty BGB personnel rushed in and rescued the girl.
Akhaura police station OC Mofiz Uddin Bhuiyan said the victim was sent to Brahmanbaria sadar hospital for medical test.
He said police were trying to catch the rapists.
