Bangladesh Railway has started selling advanced tickets from Thursday morning until July 13 for holiday passengers ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Tickets are available both online and at ticket counters.
A railway official said tickets for July 13 are being sold on Thursday.
The home goers thronged from Wednesday night at Kamalapur railway station to buy tickets.
The queues became longer after Sehri but it is now normal.
Tickets for July 14 will be sold on July 10, for July 15 on July 11, for July 16 on July 12 and for July 17 on July 13.
A passenger can buy up to four tickets, and sold tickets are not refundable.
The BR will operate 14 special trains, among which four fall under the Kishorganj-bound Solakia special, and the remaining will run for three days before and seven days after Eid.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority will begin operating a special launch service from Sadarghat on July 14 for Eid.
A new public launch, “Madhumati,” will begin its journey on the same day.
