Brahmanbaria Detective Branch of Police has arrested an accused in the sensational four-murder case that took place at Bashati village in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh four days ago.
Accused Hiran Miah was picked up from Bishnupur area of the district town early yesterday.
When asked, Nandail police station SI and also investigator of the case Murad Ali Sheikh acknowledged the arrest, but he could not confirm the time of handing over Hiran to them.
Earlier, police on suspicion detained there people for questioning in the lawsuit although the main accused named Lal Miah remained out of trace since the incident.
Hiran Miah is the nephew of Lal Miah.
On Friday, the family members of Lal Miah hacked to death four people who are from a family. Both families were locked in altercation over borrowed money.
