US-Bangla Airlines Ltd, a new private airlines company, will formally operate flights on Rajshahi-Dhaka-Rajshahi domestic routes from July 11.
Starting from Dhaka, the airline will initially operate four weekly flights- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday- on the routes, reports BSS.
The fares for a one-way trip from Rajshahi to Dhaka will be Tk3,200 including taxes, he added.
The new airlines has launched business to tap growing air traffic on local routes as the number of passengers is growing steadily over the past years and tourism is increasingly becoming popular to middle income people.
Sheikh Sadi Shishir of US-Bangla Airline's Media and Communication Wing told the local journalists that the airlines will arrange special transports equipped with Wi-Fi for passengers to and from Rajshahi.
The large, fast, quiet and fuel-efficient turboprops would provide an ideal balance of passenger comfort and operating economics with a reduced environmental footprint, he further said.
Earlier, national flag-carrier Bangladesh Biman re-launched three weekly flights- Friday, Sunday and Tuesday- on the routes on April 7 last after a long eight years suspension.
