Rail communications of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chittagong has resumed after 11 hours of its suspension due to derailment of five oil tankers of a freight train.
Rashidpur railway stationmaster Yasir Arafat said the train communications resumed at 3:30pm on Sunday after the tankers were removed from the rail track by a salvation train coming from Kulaura.
Earlier, the train communications of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chittagong were suspended at 4am following the derailment of five oil tankers of an Akhaura-bound freight Train from Sylhet near Rashidpur Railway Station of Hobiganj.
