Apparently, bedtime lullabies at Lily Collins' household has enough to be an Oscar-winning soundtrack. The Rules Don’t Apply actress told Harry Connick Jr on his talk show on Tuesday that one of her popstar father, Phil Collins' most recognisable songs was originally written as a lullaby for her.

Phil composed the soundtrack for the 1999 Disney animated film Tarzan, which went on to win a Grammy for the best soundtrack. “You’ll Be in My Heart” nabbed the Oscar for Best Original Song, as well as the Golden Globe for the same honour.

Lily, whose mother is Phil’s ex Jill Tavelman, has now become a star in her own right, but admitted that it was strange to have a famous father as a child.

It’s a weird thing to have your dad or your parent be on the stage with a million people saying their name and you’re like, ‘No, that’s just dad,’” Lily, 27, said. “But I started to get used to, that person was Phil and then when we were home, that was dad.”

She plays a beauty queen in her new flick, Rules Don't Apply.
